Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts - Day 2

We had a great and hard day yesterday in Hoboken, NJ with CrossFit Hoboken. Our timing was great as we were able to arrive the same day that the got their power back.  We had a couple dozen volunteers and we were able to find a few hundred people. We feed first responders that were in the area helping residents as well as some of the residents themselves.  We delivered generators and were able to cook up some warm meals and lots of smiles.

While we were serving in Hoboken, we also found out that there are many more people that are in need. So, today we are heading to the Jersey Shore and serving 700 meals at Central Regional High School in Bayville, NJ. We have been told that this is one of the hardest hit areas and that the need is great.

There is still time to contribute if you want to join our efforts. We will make another shipment of meals tomorrow (Wednesday, November 7, 2012).  We have received a couple hundred more donated meals in the last 2 days and we will send these, and any other purchased in the next 24 hours, to the hard hit areas of the Jersey Shoreline.

We appreciate your help in these efforts and our valuable partners that have assisted us.  Click Here if you would like to purchase and contribute meals to help find families and first repsonders in the hardest hit areas of New Jersey in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

Today, we wil be at Central Regional High School, 509 Forest Hills Parkway, Bayville, NJ 08721.  Thank you.
