Salisbury Steak

Ingredients
24 oz ground chuck
8 oz sliced mushrooms
1 onion (julienne)
1 sprig thyme
2 cloves sliced garlic
salt

Step #1

Season meat with salt and form into 4 patties.

Step #2

Place steaks in  sauté pan over medium high heat and cook for 3-4 minutes. Flip over and reduce heat to medium low and cover until desire temperature is reached. Refer to chart at the bottom of the page for correct temperatures.

Step #3

Remove steaks from pan and set aside. Add onions and thyme to the rendered fat from the burgers and bring temperature up to a medium high heat. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add sliced mushrooms and garlic and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes. Add salt to taste. Remove thyme sprig and cover the Salisbury steaks with your delicious onion and mushroom mixture.
